I'll keep the roles list updated as we go for easy reference so we don't get too much overlap between crew. Loosely looking at this coming Friday if folk can get characters together in that time, but I'm okay if we drift past the weekend. I don't have a set timeline for starting the game per se.

I don't particularly require any specific 'balance' of roles to be filled, but I do prefer a certain level of niche protection (ie, if someone calls dibs on Hacker, they get first crack at that build) and not a whole lot of overlap of distinctions between crew members. This is pretty much a first come first served casting call rather than audition style with the proviso that I retain right of refusal if I think someone just won't be a good fit. I prefer not to run for a crew of more than seven. Four players is a practical minimum for Firefly, but I'd be game to run for three. Squidheadjax and Atlictoatl have both expressed interest and have slots reserved in this game if they still want them. I will be allowing custom Distinctions and Triggers provided they feel balanced to me, so just run them by me for approval.

Especially when it comes to getting into or out of tight spaces. It has since been made obsolete by newer and better models with the stabilization that followed Alliance victory, but to smugglers and other types who want to steer clear of the law, the battered little ships are worth their weight in Platinum. Mayfly Class The Mayfly is a survey and salvage vessel favored by the mining conglomerates before the war. It will be up to the players to come up with the final distinction (from the history or customization lists) as well as which two distinction triggers to start the game with and two signature assets for the ship. I've selected the class distinction (Mayfly, custom) and a secondary distinction for the ship. They're supposed to be meeting a guy about a job.
The crew of the Wanderer is currently docked for resupply and routine maintenance on Deadwood, seventh planet in the Blue system. Opening Scene: Over the past four years, the battered old Mayfly has undergone a number of interesting modifications and upgrades both inside and out, not all of them entirely legal like, and the mismatched group that fled the Alliance together have made some small name for themselves in the 'Verse as a capable crew that gets jobs done. Old as she was and slated for scrap, the stout little ship proved surprisingly tough and agile, dodging or shrugging off potential hazards as they fled the system. Trigger Event: During one of the last battles of the Unification War, the crew procured the Liúlàng Zhě (Wanderer) in a desperate bid to escape certain annihilation, appropriating the near obsolete mining vessel from an abandoned salvage yard just ahead of advancing Alliance forces. Timeline: Leaf On The Wind begins four years after the end of the Unification War.
